Egbert, Margaret & Stephen
There's a little bit in all of us.
Margaret beat her French teacher with a baguette when he refused to fall in love with her. Egbert camped out in the woods to catch an iridescent fly only visible under urine. Stephen tricked a climate change official to stop her fining his parents. Warm-hearted at their core, these two brothers and a sister are completely weird and whacky.
Egbert is the kind of lanky 14 year old who hasn’t had a growth spurt yet. He’s defensive about his name – and who wouldn’t be? He’s smart, he likes classical music and one day, just one, he’d like to shoot more baskets than his next door “girlfriend” Amelia.
Margaret might be 12 but she’s better at grumpy than your grumpy grandfather. Maybe because she’s stuck between two brothers. She reads a lot, writes terrible poetry and doesn’t like to be proven wrong. Who does?
Stephen, at 10, doesn’t like to be left out. He’s a lego lover with a talent for cooking up outlandish desserts. Roast icecream, anyone? He competes ferociously with his brother and sister but they’ll never beat him at cooking.
